booster car seat can be used for 20lb-100lb?

I saw a descritpion on Babies R US website that booster car seat can be used for weight 20lb-100lb. If using 5-point harness, can accomodate 20lb-40lb. If using seat belt alone, can accomodate 30-100lb. My daughter is almost 1 year old. So the booster car seat should be able to accomodate her. However, the recommended age for booster car seat on the website is 4-10 years old. Does it contridictiing itself?

I was also told there is a convertible car seat, which can accomodate up to 40lb. Which one I should choose for my 1-year-old daughter then?

Is my 2 year old ready for this booster car seat?

My friend bought my daughter a booster car seat for her birthday; she is about to be two in October. All the seats we have tried, she is too big for.

This one says 3 – 10 years (uhhh, 10??) but it also says: 30-100lbs and 38" to 57" tall.

My daughter is 39lbs and 37" tall.

What do you think?
